Purity Ring

I’m not usually in to electronic music, but I can’t get enough of Purity Ring.  I’ve been listening to their latest album, Another Eternity pretty much n on stop for the last 2 weeks.  In turn it has led me back to their firt album, Shrines, which I always liked but now appreciate more.  I don’t know what it is about their music.  It reaches in to my soul (which is fucked and needs to be touched).  I don’t think that there is one song on either album that I don’t love.  Current favs are Dust Hymn, Heartsigh, and Crawlersout.  I’d love to have this stuff blasting while rolling.  I don’t know how well that would go over.  lol

Just got this from iTunes this morning before work. I wanted to listen to it on my drive in, but the power outlet in my car is not working. Grrr. Stupid fuses. I’ll try and go through it 2 or 3 at work if I can. I’ve been looking forward to it for a while. I avoided downloading any leaked copies.

Maybe they will let me play it while we roll at BJJ tonight. I doubt it. PJ (runs the Monday class) likes the heavy metal. I don’t mind it, but I have to be in the right mood.

Check it out and post your opinions. I’m interested to hear what others think.

Lousy With Sylvianbriar

Of Montreal’s new album, Lousy With Sylvianbriar seems to be quite a bit different from all their previous pieces of work. I like it! I only started listening to indie music a couple of years ago after some recommendations from online friends, and Of Montreal was one of the first bands I checked out. Here is the song Belle Glade Missionaries. The lyrics are… Interesting.
